Discover the powerful connection between nature and creativity!
The Reconnecting with Nature Creativity Workshop invites you to explore the interconnectedness of humanity and nature, using art as a tool for self-expression, emotional connection, and personal growth. In a world where nature is crucial for our existence and sustainability, this workshop highlights the importance of living harmoniously with the environment. Together, we will embrace the beauty of nature, appreciate its cultural and ecological value, and understand how it shapes human creativity and resilience.
The workshop is designed for early career scientists and PhD students working topics related to climate change. Please register by February, 13th as places are limited!
Workshop Objectives
Reconnect with Nature:
Experience nature's complex beauty from a fresh perspective, appreciating its patterns, forms, and hidden dimensions. Developing this understanding can enhance both self-expression and self-awareness in everyday life.
Art as a Tool for Observation and Creation:
Participants will learn about the concept of fractals, observing natural patterns that balance chaos and harmony. Artists and creators will explore how fractals can inspire their work, leading to designs that embody the essence of nature's interconnected beauty.
Hands-On Creativity:
Develop your own creative process using professional art materials derived from environment-inspired techniques. Materials may include linseed oil, organic and inorganic pigments, clay, plant coal, bamboo sticks, and brick dust. The monochromatic nature-inspired artwork will help convey emotional representations of vision and balance.
Mr. Ronald Netto graduated the School of Fine Arts at the Mahatma Gandhi University. He specialized in pigments and he is working exclusively with natural pigments and natural materials. He was born in India and moved to Europe in 2015. His work is related to nature in different stages and weather conditions including landscapes covered by snow, suffering droughts or floods. Some of his paintings are realistic and some abstract. In the workshop he will guide students through the principles of observing nature, observing and expressing fractals, connecting to nature emotionally, and finally to use art to foster creativity and fulfilment. He is working and exhibiting his work in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
